Update Notifications

For Windows, Linux and Windows, an update check shall be implemented which:

  1. Regularly checks if new versions are available.
  2. Allows the user to download an appropriate new binary and
  3. Automatically installs it (if possible, which is the case e.g. with AppImage or AppBundle deployments).

Manually compiled versions of the App shall have the check disabled (because we have to assume that e.g. alternative deployment mechanisms like RPM are used in this case).
