WIP: Deus Ex Update
Changes
- Added: Lungs are now fully modular and actually process gas for humans. Lungs must be compatible with a species or they will die of suffocation.
- Added: Vox and Plasmamen have their own lungs. These alien lungs are not available at organ printers, requiring stockpiling from donor monkey-humans.
- Added: All species currently exhale CO2. Vox may be tweaked later to exhale N2O.
- Added: Robotics can make Advanced Lungs (programming 2, biomech 4), which are compatible with all species and filter out some gasses (N2O and plasma), up to certain partial pressures.

@PJB3005 They inhale Nitrogen, which is an inert
, noblegas. Not much about their metabolism makes any sense.Edited by username-removed-57014These alien lungs are not available at organ printers, requiring stockpiling from donor monkey-humans.
Wait what? How are you supposed to get the alien lungs from monkey humans, giving them an alien's UI-UE or something?

huh... how does a monkey produce lungs for an alien exactly?
Also the N2O exhalation for vox wouldn't make sense (or even CO2) since oxygen is poisonous for them, so why would they have it in their system at all?
@MaddoScientisto Just because O2 is poisonous to Vox doesn't mean anything containing O2 is. Humans are poisoned by Cl gas, yet can consume NaCl in large amounts.
Wait so now humans will actually exhale CO2? Scrubbers will have some use? Or is it just gonna be some trace amount that wouldn't be noticeable even after an hour?
👍 for augmented lungsdo EMPs affect internal organs as well?
Edited by username-removed-208259@DeityLink humans already breath out CO2, but yes it's such trace amounts it doesn't matter.
@Skullyton Yes, I tested that. Causes some runtimes, but that's something I'm planning on fixing.
@MaddoScientisto Take UI+UE, inject into mon-keigh, cut out organs. Rinse, repeat. I may make it an upgrade for the organ printers at some point.
