Changes in siesta calculator to make it python 2-3 compatible.

Hi, I noticed that the siesta calculator was not working with python 3. In this requesting I'm proposing some modifications in order to make the code python 2-3 compatible, while trying to keep the original version as pristine as possible. Best!
