[feature request] whitelist method
First of all thanks a lot for this nice app and your enthusiasm.
I've read that I shouldn't use this issue tracker for feature requests or something, but I don't know how else I could get in touch with you. So I hope you're not mad on me, if I ask my question this way.
I'm on AOSP 6.0.1 and your app also works great on that platform. You wrote that Android 6+ have native call blocking and so I shouldn't need your app, but I like the feature, that I can give the blocked number a description with your app, (which isn't possible in the native blocked caller list, in my eyes). By the way, in the native blocked caller list I could differ between:
- block incoming calls
- block incoming messages
- block both It would be a nice feature to have this functionality in your awesome app, too.
But now to my real question. I live in a country, which banned anonymous cold calls (from private numbers) by law, so I get such cold calls from different numbers, which aren't in my contact list. So I thought it would be a wonderful feature, if there is an app - like yours - which could block every call, but them on the address book. In other words, I would love to see a whitelist functionality sometime in the future, because:
- your app would become more interesting for Android 6+ users, because
- your app would be the one and only open source app with this feature and I really believe, that
- a bunch of people would like to see such a feature for a lot of reasons, like me.
I thought on a switch option for whitelisting method, possibly with additional features like:
- accept only from whitelist
- accept my contacts, too [yes|no]
- accept private numbers, too [yes|no]
So that's what I bloody want and hope you, and/or other people enjoy this suggestion. And if the only problem should be that you don't have enough time/money for realizing such a feature, please just let me know a price and I will see what I can do to your donation address.
Thanks for reading and thanks again in advance for any reaction. All the best.
