Decide on when to italicise and when to use blockquotes
The technical documentation sometimes uses italics and sometimes blockquotes for referring to commands, file paths, etc. We should standardise on one. My strong preference is for blockquotes. In addition, I'd encourage directory names to be suffixed with a forward slash to differentiate them from commands. For example:
- Here is a directory
fdroid/
inline. - Here is a command
fdroid
inline.
Examples of what I propose not to do:
- Here is a directory fdroid inline.
- Here is a directory
fdroid
inline. - Here is a command fdroid inline.
Once this has been decided than we can at least write this down somewhere in a set of guidelines, then apply the guidelines to incoming MRs. If someone gets bored, they could also apply it to already written documentation.
