F-Droid still reminding about update that already happened

i flashed F-Droid privileged extension v0.2.4. today via recovery to my Xperia XZ device. after booting my device F-droid app reminded me that the newer version is available. i didn't know if upgrading was possible via F-Droid app or i should do it via recovery but i tried the first option and suceeded. but now F-Droid app is still reminding me that the newer version is available but vhen i looked at versions it says that the latest (0.2.5) is installed.

I have the same Problem

Once you have flashed Privileged Extension, then F-Droid can update it. Which app is F-Droid saying it can upgrade? I.e. just "Privileged Extension" or "Privileged Extension OTA"? I think this is related to #1027 (closed)

Also, since this is really about F-Droid trying to update Privileged Extension, I'm going to move this bug there.

can not say if it's just "PE" or "PE-OTA" because those notifications stopped. possibly after upgrading F-Droid to 0.103.1.

This is not #1021 ? The fact that is that app mentioned does not really matter, it just happened to be the last updated app.

Still happening, updated F-Droid to 1.0-alpha1 on one device, and now it keeps asking me to update F-Droid.

I'll try next with the "old index format" too.

Oh wow, this is the bug that just wont die. I'll try to take a look at it some time to see what else can be done. Thanks for the continued feedback.

Still having this issue with 0.102.3. After installing new apps from F-droid, I get a notification that those very same apps have updates downloaded and ready to install.

@qguv Looks fixed in 1.0alpha2, try it, your version is old.

@qguv - What you are seeing is F-Droid suggesting the latest "stable" version. There is a bunch of additional 1.0-alpha* versions under the "Versions" list down the bottom of that app details screen. You are free to manually install a newer (but not yet marked as stable) version. In addition, there is a preference for "Enable unstable updates" or something to that effect, which will cause F-Droid to always prompt you to update to the latest version, regardless of whether it is marked as recommended or not.
