µg UnifiedNlp for GAPPS-free devices cannot be uninstalled.
I made the mistake of installing this from f-droid and am now unable to uninstall it: https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=com.google.android.gms
If I try to uninstall it, it attempts to uninstall Google Play Services, and then I get a "(De-)Installation error" and it borks google play services, but the app remains. Looking at the package name I can see why. They are using google's package name, when it is not really from google.
The app has survived the upgrade from lollipop to marshmallow, and now I am wondering if there is any way to get rid of it aside from wiping my phone.
To prevent anyone else from being held hostage like I am, I believe this app should be removed from f-droid. There may a legitimate use for this app where it needs to overwrite google play services, and that is fine, but to have it on fdroid for anyone to install, it is too easy without warning to unknowingly permanently embed the app into your device.
