435 In the unfortunate event that a GitLab employee passes away, GitLab will
436 provide a $10,000 lump sum to anyone of your choosing. This can be a spouse,
437 partner, family member, friend, or charity.
    • Replace "employee" with "team member". Add note that US based employees will have this arranged through their benefits within TriNet. (add link to page on benefits, which @tiffanie is working on).

  • @jwrede Thanks for starting this. I think this is in the wrong place as it is not an incentive really; more of a benefit. I would rather place it on a handbook/benefits page that also contains more information about health care and such. \cc @sytses

Thanks for the feedback @ernstvn. I am out at dinner at the moment, so will have to make any changes discussed tomorrow morning before I take off at noon.

Hey @ernstvn, should I wait to do a new MR until the new benefits page you mentioned is created? I have time blocked off tomorrow for this if I should add it elsewhere for now.

  • @jwrede Thanks for the ping. I started the page that I'd like this to be on as well. It is in this merge request: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/www-gitlab-com/merge_requests/1501

Can you please move the content that you created over to the MR I just referenced, and add it as a commit?
