Proposed list of Handbook tools

Closed username-removed-303699 requested to merge handbook-tools into master

The purpose of this page is to draw tips of cool tools people use at GitLab, and how they use them.

This is an example concept of chunking them into various sections for browsing.

cc @JobV @rspeicher I bet you have some cool ideas!

6 ## Tools we use
7
8 The purpose of this page is to share cool tools you use everyday.
9
10 ### Internal Resources and Documentation
11
12 [GitLab](https://gitlab.com/): Obviously! :) "Google Docs is where ideas go to die." - Job van der Voort.
13 Read the [GitLab Workflow section](https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/#gitlab-workflow) of the handbook to understand how to propose and develop new ideas.
14
15 ### Communication tools
16
17 Refer to the main Handbook-[Communication section for details](https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/#communication)
18
19 [Slack](https://slack.com/): For communication within our own teams, and with partners.
  • @ernstvn @nearlythere can we keep it in the handbook as much as possible? calendly would be great on https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/ under Scheduling.

  • Consider adding Sush to the tools section too.

  • Ah ok!

I misunderstood! I thought anything under /handbook/ was in the handbook.

    • Shouldn't be a new page
    • Should just fit into relevant sections of main handbook.

I'm going to close out this MR and instead propose changes to the main handbook page.
