Gdk install fails with Go 'cannot find package'
Hello. Running gdk install
got me:
if [ -x gitlab-shell/bin/compile ] ; then gitlab-shell/bin/compile; fi
go-gitlab-shell/src/gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-shell/go_build/src/gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-shell/go/cmd/hello-world/main.go:7:2: import "gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitaly-proto/go": cannot find package
command failed: {"GOPATH"=>"/home/vagrant/gitlab-development-kit/go-gitlab-shell/src/gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-shell/go_build", "GO15VENDOREXPERIMENT"=>"1"} go install gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-shell/go/cmd/...
make: *** [gitlab-shell-setup] Error 1
I followed the Vagrant instructions as I'm on Windows. Considering trying this in a full blown VM.
I don't know anything about Go's package resolution, but I was trying things like setting the GOPATH on the command line in an attempt to get past this, but didn't have any luck. I also tried starting again from scratch with gdk init
, but ran into the same issue.
Any ideas? Thanks!
