When I create a new project, my feed tells me
"Congratulations! Why not share your accomplishment with the world? Tweet"
But I haven't done anything yet. I've made an empty project. This is the opposite of encouraging.

I was wondering where they were configured. Actually this just seems wrong. Thanks so much @kousu for pointing this out. I had thought about it...
As a voice of GitLab on Twitter, I am never sure how to respond to these. I like to reply with a proper Welcome when someone has written a personal "I just moved to GitLab" but I feel weird replying to something automated like that.
For GitLab on Twitter we should model Collaboration and Discussion. This just doesn't spark either.
@creamzy@DouweM - Agreed on changing config for GitLab.com but also don't think this option serves our users well who do need help promoting their projects. Kinda all looks a bit spammy.
