wiki link to other wiki pages fail in preview

When I add a link to a wiki page like [title](new-page) and switch to the preview tab, the link points to a (non existent) file named new-page on the master branch. If I had saved the changes, the link would have pointed to a new wiki page as I would except.

Anybody experiencing or able to reproduce this bug?

I'm seeing the same thing. It doesn't give you the correct link until you save.

I also see the same bug, both on gitlab.com and our own installation.

I think it's very confusing now.

The linking for a file in the repo appears to be prioritized over a page in the wiki. So the markdown tries to link to the file, not the slug.

This is not accurate. This bug happens even when there is no file with the same in the repo.

I'm seeing this on GitLab 8.2.3.

Thanks for the issue report. This issue has already been fixed in newer versions of GitLab. Due to the size of this project and our limited resources we are only able to support the latest stable release as outlined in our contributing guidelines. In order to get this bug fix and enjoy many new features please upgrade. If you still experience issues at that time please open a new issue following our issue tracker guidelines found in the contributing guidelines.
