      @marin I hope you don't mind me asking a question about something that this MR is not about.

      Should we be presenting it as a 'limitation' that Git-over-SSH uses HTTPS for LFS? I don't see what is wrong with it

      BTW it is really neat that LFS seems to just work with Git over SSH.

      @jacobvosmaer Maybe I said it wrong. Let me try to explain what I meant:

      • If a user pushes over ssh they don't expect to have any username/password queries because they have their SSH to auth them.
      • If they get a password prompt, they might get surprised that they need to input username/password so I thought it is good to note that.

      Please let me know if I can improve this?

      I agree that it is worth pointing out. But is there a way to avoid it? If not then we should not think of it as a limitation.
