Mattermost 3.8.1 has been tested with GitLab SSO and was released today at https://about.mattermost.com/download/.

Mattermost team is ready to test GitLab 9.1 omnibus RC for both upgrade and new install.
You can visit https://gitlab.mattermost.com to verify and test the release.
