    @jacobvosmaer I was trying to explain in short why these warnings can be ignored. Please let me know if it makes sense to you as you will encounter this more often in contact with customers.

    Thanks Marin, it is good to document this. But maybe it belongs in the main GitLab repository? I am not sure this is about omnibus-gitlab.

    @jacobvosmaer I don't think this applies to installation from source as it highly depends on how the source setup looks. However, we did decide previously to move as much as docs as possible to one location so I've created gitlab-org/gitlab-ce!903

    OK. I just remember seeing lots of PG warnings/errors when working on the backup script in the past, and even doing work to have fewer of them. And that was all on installations from source.
