Keep aspect ratio of background image.

When choosing a background image, it's not yet possible to just have it centered in the background, and keep it's aspect ratio. Should be simple to implement.

Furthermore it'd be awesome to choose the size (e.g. 123%) of the image, so that the user doesn't have to change the size of the image manually. Even better: %-size of display width (or heigth).

Use case: have company logo (or fictional company logo like Weyland-Yutani-Corp from Alien or Cyberdyne Systems from Terminator) centered in background.

I am also looking forward to more options for the background image. I really hope that iterm2 can give options similar to "background-size" in css, "contain" or "cover".

As described in http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_background-size.asp:

• "cover": Scale the background image to be as large as possible so that the background area is completely covered by the background image. Some parts of the background image may not be in view within the background positioning area
• "contain": Scale the image to the largest size such that both its width and its height can fit inside the content area.

It will look more elegant and beautiful when I re-size my terminal. Thank you!

I’m surprised there’s still no option for this. It bugs my design sensibilities seeing the background image all distorted… which is 99% of the time, since I’m always resizing the window to optimize for text legibility and window space.
