printf '\e]7;%s\a' does not erase proxy icon

• iTerm2 version: 3.1.beta3

• OS version: 10.12

• Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here com.googlecode.iterm2.plist

What happened:

In Terminal, the command printf '\e]7;%s\a' will erase the proxy icon. It is particularly useful when ssh into a remote server. But it seems that iTerm does not honor this command and it prints a mysterious blue triangle.

EDIT: I just discovered that that little triangle is a feature of Shell integration.

Found a solution

printf "\033]1337;CurrentDir=''\007"

It's tricky to support that because iTerm2 really wants to know your hostname and current directory. If it doesn't have a current directory from OSC 7 it will get one with Mach system calls. For now I'll ignore it so you don't get the blue triangle. I'd recommend either installing shell integration or setting up triggers to emulate it if you would a more appropriate proxy icon.
