Clearing terminal (e.g. Command-k) does not resume auto-scroll-to-bottom behavior
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: Build 3.0.15
- OS version: 10.12.6
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Run
while true; do date; sleep .1; done
to start spewing some content into a terminal - Wait until you see a scrollbar appear and the terminal is auto-scrolling to the bottom as new lines appear
- Hit
Command-k
to clear and wait for terminal to fill up page again - Notice that as more lines come in, the page still auto-scrolls to the bottom. This is the expected behavior
- Now scroll to the top of the page (i.e. so auto-scroll-to-bottom is turned off)
- Hit
Command-k
(again) and wait for terminal to fill up - Notice that when the terminal fills up, it does not auto-scroll
What happened:
Terminal did not resume auto-scroll after clearing buffer.
What should have happened:
Clearing the buffer should always resume auto-scroll behavior.
