Ctrl + digits

Followup of issue #55 (closed):
Under Linux, at least on the console, in xterm, gnome-terminal and konsole (that's 4 out of 4 terminals I've checked) Ctrl+2 .. Ctrl+8 emit the bytes 0x00, 0x1B-0x1F and 0x7F respectively (independently of the "stty erase" or "stty quit" setting).
Could you please make iTerm emit these, too? For example, I'm pretty much used to Ctrl+7 (undo) and Ctrl+6 (redo) in joe, currently only redo works out of the box.
