test: improve assertions in pummel/test-timers

Rodrigo Muino Tomonari requested to merge github/fork/Trott/wiggle-room into master
  • Timers should not fire early. Check for that.
  • Allow the wiggle-room to increase on subsequent iterations of intervals.
