Logs messages after git replace command
By Alcol... on September 12, 2014 11:02 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
-
Open Log messages
-
Choose a commit to alter: C1
-
run in a git bash: git replace --edit C1
and change the author for sample -
Refresh the log messages window
==> The a new commit is visible (C2) but the C1 still exits -
Close the log messages window,
run: rm -f .git/tortoisegit.*
and reopen the the log messages window
==> Now the C1 is updated with the C2 information but C2 still displayed.
On pop-up menu on C2, we can see "Delete ref/replace/C1-hash"
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
-
After the step 4, because a new commit appears tagged with ref/replace/..., The GUI can update information of the replaced commit.
-
I think that C2 must not be displayed at all.
